The Fondazione Radicepura was created in 2017 at the behest of the Faro family, with the aim of promoting social solidarity through the protection and enhancement of nature, encouraging the development of landscape culture in a Mediterranean environment, the protection of the territory, and education and scientific research. In addition to the development of landscape culture in the Mediterranean environment, one of the main objectives of the Foundation is to promote study of the environmental adaptability of species of botanical interest, through the identification of the most suitable cultivation techniques, based on principles of natural farming and biodiversity preservation. The Foundation therefore intends to enhance nature as an engine of global development through prestigious events, initiatives both independent and in partnership with others, and cultural influencing to transmit sustainable and universal messages. Foremost among these is the international event that is the “Radicepura Garden Festival – Mediterranean Garden Biennial”.
